Donate to our Annual Campaign
Throughout good times and challenging times, the Library remains a free, public resource that provides educational and recreational resources, technology access, and so much more.
The pandemic has been an ever present factor, yet we continue to move forward and adapt to meet our community’s needs.
By making a donation to the Mars Area Public Library’s Annual Fund Drive, you are ensuring that our Library is able to continue to meet our community’s changing needs and provide a safe place where everyone can go to learn, discover and explore.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
MAPL Board of Directors

It is a privilege to be a place where meaningful interactions occur every day.
In-person story times, books clubs, and events resumed safely in 2021. Infants born during the pandemic were able to attend Baby Bounce and Play and were provided the opportunity to meaningfully interact with other children for the first time.

Striving to be a leader in technical services, Mars was the first library in Butler County to offer our patrons a mobile app.
With our app, patrons can easily search our online catalog, renew books, place holds, and even use their digital library card for self-check out.

We designed and assembled a new space just for teens.
Last year, we were able to raise money for new furniture for a designated teen area. This year, a small yet comfortable place for teens and the teen book collection was created.

Did you know that approximately 80% of the Library’s yearly operating budget is dependent on the contributions made by local municipalities and our donors?
The remaining is funded primarily by the state and county government. Based on those figures as well as rising operational costs, we are asking you to help the Library raise $50,000 for our 2021 Annual Fund Drive.

2022 Goals
-
Finalize a 5 year Technology Plan and begin upgrading the library’s technology.
-
Increase library staffing in order to expand the programs, classes, and services offered to our community.
-
Continue to improve aspects of the physical library setting
-
Develop a book delivery service for homebound individuals.
